Hi internet,

I just arrived in Austin, six hours late. There was a blizzard in Dallas, and my connecting flight was canceled before I arrived at the airport in Toronto. Then the flight from Toronto was canceled, while I was on it. I was supposed to be going to Dallas, but instead wound up in St Louis and, except for a promised hotel voucher, was pretty much left for the wolves by American Airlines. They said the next flight to Austin they could get me on was Sunday, which I think technically makes what they did to me a hostage situation.

Fortunately you, internet, were there to save the day. I had a charged cellphone and the guy sitting next to me (the heroic Mark Brady, whom the bards shall sing of until the end of time) had internet access. Between the two of us, we found another flight to Houston on Southwest Airlines. From Houston, we rented a car and drove three hours to Austin where we switched cars. I arrived moments ago on horseback.

Today was completely ridiculous.
