This blog post was written by filmmaker Alan Zweig

Art Corneau died this morning. Some of you met him in my film "A Hard Name" and many of you subsequently met him in person at the Castle Frank Station where he hung out. I will never forget him and will always be grateful to him for telling his story so bravely. Art had been threatening to die ever since I met him five years ago. I once joked with him that he was probably a bit pissed that he was still alive when the film came out and he agreed with me. Somewhere in there, maybe for the first time in his life, he discovered a will to live. But in the end, that only lasted a couple of years. My sympathies to all who knew him and particularly his girlfriend Stephanie and our mutual friend Harry who introduced him to me.
