While out for a drive, Zack, Lily, Rose and Goldie all hit the same rock and they all get flat tires. Rex brings his trailer out to carry them back to Mika's Shop so they can get fixed, but the trailer isn't big enough to fit 4 broken Zerbies. With a rainstorm coming in they have to figure out a way they can all get back to Zerby Town. They try getting on the trailer facing forwards, but that only fits 2 Zerbies. They try sideways, which works a little better, but still only fits 3 of the 4. They try piling on but they just end up falling off when Rex starts to move. Even using sticks to make the trailer bigger doesn't work. Finally, Zack gets the idea that if everyone give him their broken tires and he gives the others his working ones, then he can ride the trailer with 4 broken tires and the others can drive home.

TOBY is fitted with a Brand New Three Chime Whistle while his little bell is repaired. TOBY finds this new whistle a bit daunting. So instead, TOBY comes up with a plan. If he is very careful and drives very slowly he won't need to use it. However, when THOMAS hurtles towards some cows, which have wandered onto the tracks, TOBY is forced to use his bell. TOBY realises that his bell is not that scary, in fact it makes a great noise. So, when GORDON races towards a fallen tree TOBY is happy to blow his whistle and save GORDON too.

PERCY has a special Special. He is to deliver a big gift crate to Knapford. It is DOWAGER HATT'S birthday present from SIR TOPHAM HATT. PERCY is so proud, he decides that rather than go directly to Knapford, he will show off his gift crate to MAVIS. But at the Quarry, it gets covered in slate dust! PERCY is mortified and tries to rectify the situation by taking the crate to the wash down and then to be dried at the Steam Works. It is all a disaster! PERCY then realises that he could put the bedraggled parcel into a new crate. VICTOR helps him and supplies a brand new crate which is painted red. When DOWAGER HATT sees her new gift wrapped gift - she is thrilled!!

The Big Top
Axle is very proud of the big circle race track he and the other racing Zerbies have constructed. But when it looks like rain they go to Mika the Mechanic to help them come up with a way to cover their course. Mika covers the course with a large canvas, but there's no room for the racers to race underneath. They try putting up a big stick in the middle, and that helps a bit, but there is still a lot of canvas covering the course. But when Mika pulls on the edge of the canvas to find out what Zack and Axle are talking about - they all realize that pulling the edges will make a perfect tent. Once they've pulled it and tied it down there's lots of room underneath for racing, rain or shine.

As THOMAS gets more excited he chuffs faster and faster and ends up along a bumpy track. Soon his trucks bump high in the air and the storybooks land in FARMER MCCOLL'S field. THOMAS doesn't want to let the children down and decides to make it a picnic story time, and brings the children to the storybooks.

With the help of Mika the Mechanic they place a lighthouse on Zerby Town Pier so he can see his way at night. But when they come to test it out they find where you put light is very important. They aim it at the shore, but all Bob can see is the bush it's hitting. They try again, this time aiming the light right at Bob, which doesn't help either. They find that the lighthouse works perfect if it's aiming right at Bob's boathouse.

But Fico agrees to a crash course in manners, to help things go smoothly. But of course, things don't. When they arrive, they accidentally 'spook' the royal dog Doki, Mundi and Oto race off to get him back! They succeed but arrive at the party very late and disheveled! But their hosts are deeply grateful. It turns out that thinking of others first, is always good manners. --- Anabella loves to help her Team, but sometimes it's hard for her find practical ways to do that. So when the Team is asked to go and check on some radio-tagged wildlife: 'unicorns' to be precise! She's eager to pitch in. The whole Team is dying to know... are unicorns real?! The gang sets off to the Canadian Arctic, using a tracking beacon to find the mysterious creatures, who turn out to be narwhals, 'unicorns of the sea'. Along the way, Anabella jumps at every chance to help but sometimes gets in the way. It's only when they're faced with rescuing a pod of ice-bound whales, that Anabella gets her chance to shine, using her creative talents to save the day!
