Since joining TVO in 2007, Erika Kramer has led several teams in the areas of production, media services, distribution, administration and media engineering. She has overseen successful projects including: HD Master Control rebuild, TVO’s digital over-the-air transition, decommissioning over 100 analog transmitter sites, launching TVO’s online Public Archive and a number of large-scale office-space re-organizations.
Prior to joining TVO, Erika was a founding member of VisionTV, where she took on many roles including Traffic, Technical Producer, and eventually, Director of Technical Operations, Broadcast Systems and Traffic. Over 19 years she helped VisionTV grow into S-VOX, launching two more channels.
Erika has served as Board Treasurer of Media Smarts, Chair of the Canadian Broadcast Distribution Association Board of Directors, and Chair of Ontario DTV Over-the-Air Consortium. During her career, she has served on various committees of the Specialty and Premium Television Association, Canadian Association of Broadcasters, and Canadian Digital Television Inc.
Erika is a graduate of the Radio and Television Arts program at Ryerson.
