So while Mundi and Oto experiment with different kinds of bridges, Doki and Gabi discover why the crabs are on the move in the first place - they're migrating to the shore, to lay eggs. --- When Gabi can't get her homemade butterfly kite off the ground, Doki wonders... how can we make a kite that will fly? Another Expedition Team knows, and they send Team Doki to a kite festival in HAMAMATSU, JAPAN, to find out! At the festival, the Team experiments with kite-making, flute playing and sushi rolling. Doki discovers what Gabi's butterfly kite lacked - a 'tail' to keep it pointed into the wind! The kite is fixed, just in time to rescue Oto from some hot wasabi, and even win a kite contest.

Catching Some ZZZs/ Sand Puddle / Don't Forget to Pack
Mika the Mechanic has had a busy day charging Zerbies. She uses her solar panels to charge a big battery pack, which she uses to charge any Zerby that needs it. But she needs to use the sun to charge the big battery back up again. She picks a sunny spot and falls asleep. When Zack and Rex find her, looking for a charge, Mika is in the Shade. She moves and waits again. When they return Mika is convinced that the shadow is following her. Rex and Zack look at the situation and realize there is a tree that is casting a shadow. The tree's shadow is moving because the sun is moving across the sky. They find a nice open spot and Zack and Mika wait for a charge while the fully charged Rex drives in excited circles. --- Zack and Rex are having fun playing on Zerby Town Ridge. But the one thing that the ridge doesn't have is a big mud puddle. Zack and Rex decide to make one. They get some dirt and they get some water and put them together in a hole. But no matter how much they mix them together, it just doesn't make mud. They decided to add more dirt. No good. They call Walter the wash truck over to add even more water. Still no mud. They are confused. They go off looking for answers and find out from Fill the front loader that they were using sand, not dirt. They realize sand and dirt are very different. Dirt and water make mud, but sand and water make... sand castles! --- Axle, Rex and Sandy the Bulldozer decide to build a jump. They usually have Fill the Front-loader's help, but since Fill is busy helping Strut, they decide to do it without him. The problem is, when they build it the dirt that makes the jump seems to be too soft for Axle to drive on. They try changing the shape of the jump, but that doesn't help. When they drive away looking for answers, Zack comes along the jump and drives over it several times. When they get back they see tire tracks on the jump and realize it works better than it did before. Fill finally joins them and they find out that he always packs down the dirt as the last step in making a jump. That's why it worked better after Zack had driven on it.

The Turbot cousins get so caught up quibbling with each other they don't realize that their ship is frozen in the Arctic Ice. The Sea Patrol must come to their rescue and cut the ship out of the ice to free them. --- Alex spots a mysterious horned creature swimming in the ocean which turns out to be a lost narwhal. The Sea Patrol uses narwhal sounds to guide him back to the Arctic in the Sea Patroller. When the narwahl gets his horn stuck in an ice chunk that's in the path of a cargo ship, Zuma and Ryder race to move him out of harm's way so Rubble can use his drill to free him.

At the big Earth Day Fair, the cadets volunteer for assignments to help improve the environment. Leading a cleanup of low-orbit space junk, Robyn recruits her friends, including a reluctant Eagle - who secretly wants to stay home and watch Orb-O on TV. Up in space the cadets have fun, making a game of it... but Eagle feels they're moving too slowly. Eager to finish, he bosses everyone around, speeding them up and making them miserable. Robyn finally dismisses him so he heads back to Stardust Bay... but finds he's even sadder watching the game alone. Chastened, Eagle returns to the group, apologizes and pitches in - doing such a good job that when Coot shows up to inspect the work, he's so impressed that he appoints Eagle full-time ,Space Debris Clean-up Captain,! Eagle laps up the praise, even as he wonders what he's gotten himself into...

Between 1961 and 1966, the Soviets achieved the first man and woman in space, the first spacewalk and the first unmanned lunar landing. Then a string of misfortunes struck. First came the death of Sergei Korolev, the godfather of the space program and so influential that his designs form the basis of today's rockets. Shortly afterward, hero and icon Yuri Gagarin was killed in a plane crash. The Russian space program fractured and morale plummeted.
