The Conductor takes the Pteranodon Family for a special trip to Lizard Island, where they discover that it's been overrun by plants and bugs, and there are few precious lizards left. The Conductor concludes that the Changyuraptor Family (that he dropped off there awhile ago, and has since multiplied) has been eating all the lizards and throwing the entire ecosystem out of balance. Can the Pteranodon Family and Mr. Conductor convince the Changyuraptor Family to leave their home in order to get the island ecosystem back in balance? --- With a hurricane looming, the Pteranodon Family convinces the Conductor to leave his train for the night and come with them to the safety of their hurricane shelter (a large, underground cave). But the Conductor has a hard time getting comfortable away from his train. Can the family and the Conductor pull together and help a family of beached Ichthyosaurs back into the ocean after the hurricane leaves them beached on the shore?

When the narwahl gets his horn stuck in an ice chunk that's in the path of a cargo ship, Zuma and Ryder race to move him out of harm's way so Rubble can use his drill to free him.

He dispatches Eagle, Robyn, Hawk and Raven to travel there and get to work on it. All is going as planned... until they hit an unexpected obstacle: the discovery of water! The #1 rule of space exploration: If there's any chance of life developing on a planet, or even a dwarf planet, they must leave it alone and return to Earth. Vulture is furious, and not to be denied. So he and Dodo fly to Pluto themselves to continue the cadets' work. But when Dodo accidentally terraforms Vulture's head, causing a flower to sprout there, all activity must cease - for good this time. Aaargh!!

The clues: A postcard of Salem Chapel BME Church with spiritual lyrics on the back, a First Nations dream catcher, and an old-fashioned gas lantern The file label: "Band of Angels" Kyla follows the postcard clue to the Salem Chapel BME Church, which was part of the Underground Railroad, helping American slaves escape to freedom in Canada. The spirituals sung in church could be secret codes that gave slaves clues about how to escape! E.B. meets a First Nations guide, who shows him how native tribes aided escaping slaves; then he visits a ,safe house, across the Canadian border. The "Band of Angels" were the people who, like Harriet Tubman, took personal risks to help escaping slaves find freedom.

So the Zerbies try to figure out a solution to their leafy problem. --- Chase the helicopter starts sleep flying while taking a nap. Zack and Lily try to wake him, but not before he crashes into a tree and gets stuck at the top. So Zack, Lily and Strut the crane try to free their sleepy friend from the tree.

I.Q. gives the botany scoop that the zucchini used in the recipe is actually an under ripe fruit. Momentary panic sets in, when they realize the careful balance of ingredients to build the best batter is lacking a liquid, but the case is resolved when I.Q. explains the high water content of the zucchini, released from the shredding, will ensure a moist cake.
